As head coach of Georgia Gwinnett College, Sheets brought the team to their first national championship in 2021. He was named the Skip Bertman National Coach of the Year and was the first NAIA coach to ever win this prestigious award. Adding to his impressive collegiate coaching resume, Sheets has also served as the college liaison for the ABCA and as an associate scout for the Atlanta Braves.
