A two-time National Coach of the Year and twice inducted into the Saint Mary’s Sports Hall of Fame, John has coached 37 softball players to All-American honors as well as three National Players of the Year. He first held the head coaching position from 1995 to 2000, then took a 21 year break to coach at the University of St. Thomas before returning home to Saint Mary’s in 2021.
